A Season in Hell #81: Radio Valencia: Daughter of Hell

It's Spring Break, so I thought it would be a perfect night to bring my 7 year old daughter Lauson, into the studio for my show. She chose a set of music. Here's a hint, what songs would I NEVER play on the air? She's a bit nervous, but who can blame her? Radio is a viscous lover. Wish her luck. She's going to need it.

So, last week it was psychedelia and Afro-Funk. This week it's bebop and Bakersfield country. So much good music, that I can't just stick with one genre. How do those specialty shows do it?

A Season in Hell #78: Radio Valencia: PsychafunkaWHA?!?!?

Wow, Ronnie Montrose dies, Davey Jones dies. Damn. What to play? I know, Afro-Funk and Psychedelia! I bought the new Wooden Shjips Remixes on vinyl yesterday, along with a tasty Afro-Funk record from 1975. I've pulled a lot from both the psychedelia and Afro-Funk parts of my extensive library.
