John Hell's Live Bootleg Bonanza - Monday, December 14, 2020

Are you ready to ROCK? How about are you ready to AMERICANA?!?!?!?!?

Monday night starting at 6pm.

I have a great soundboard from the Godfather's of the alt-Americana from Illinois, Uncle Tupelo. If you're not aware of this fabulous band, and where the hell have you been(???), this is Jeff Tweedy's pre-Wilco and Jay Farrar's pre-Son Volt band, that IMHO is a thousand times better than anything they've done since!!! There, I said it. Too bad Farrar and Farrar stopped getting along. I like to think in an alternate universe their music took over the world like Bill and Ted's.

This show is from August 25, 1989, Cicero's Basement Bar in St. Louis, MO, a regular stop for these boys. They always threw a number of covers into their sets, so if you're not familiar with their originals, which you're sure to enjoy, you'll be certain to get off on the covers.

This show is only 90 minutes. How will I fill the remaining 30 minutes? You'll just need to tune in and find out!

Enjoy.
