Oooooooohhhhhh weeeeeeeee It's time for my 9th annual Annual Annual!!!!!

I live for this time of year.

For the ninth consecutive year I'm taking a night to focus on one year that was chock full of tasty tunes. For this show it's all about 1969. Atlanta Music Festival, Woodstock, Altamont, Moon Landing, Nixon!

The final year of a tumultuous decade saw a lot of bands on the wane and a few starting out. The music scene was diverging as proto-punk bands were emerging, while funk and country were defining themselves more succinctly.

As always there is too much in my library to make the perfect two hour show; I merely scratched the surface, which means next week I'll have 1969 left overs to share!

Speaking of left overs, enjoy the week, and care for yourselves and those around you. Let's find a way to treat each other with kindness during this time of insecurity. We deserve better.

SEXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's how my guests got my attention tonight, and I'm a better man for it. Tora and JonJon from Tiger Honey Pot stopped in the studio tonight to share their amazing new release "Rock and Roll Sex Machine" and talk up their record release party, happening this Saturday night at Benders. The show is only $5, and they are GIVING THE CD AWAY AT THE SHOW!!!

This record is 100% ROCK AND ROLL (emphasis on the SEX). These two make a guitar/drums duo sound like a full on orgy, where the smiles, moaning and hip shaking never cease.

The whole show rocks tonight. They stuck around the entire time, and I had to pull out some show stoppers that hadn't heard before. I think you'll like it too.

Come out to the show. I'll be there. You can buy me a drink, and I'll shake my hips for ya.

Enjoy.

A Season in Hell #96: I'll Skin You Alive

I AM NOT A LIAR! That being said, this is one fine show. When is the last time you listened to radio as a piece of art? Really, when? Radio is supposed to be a place where the DJ takes his or her VAST knowledge of musical history, and weaves it together to tell a story in a 2-4 hour period. At Radio Valencia we do it in two hour bites.

You're lucky, we don't rehash the same old crap that the commercial stations love to force down your throat. Nope, not here. At Radio Valencia we carefully craft shows that are thick and robust in flavor. Our shows you can take with you, and visit when nights are lonely.

Come on, take John Hell to bed. You know you want to.

If you would care to listen to my deep, velvety voice in bed, click here.
If you wish to stream me into your subconscious, click here.
If you strongly desire to inhale each and every show I've done for the past two years, click here.
