I give away some radio DJ secrets throughout this show. There are also some running themes. And there's some questionable language (you may not want the kids listening to the Ben Folds cover).

I've been meaning to host a covers special for a while now. Perhaps next Monday I will do so. Tune in and find out. I played five covers tonight, if you're keeping score.

There are some posts during the year that jus seem sparse, but I can assure you that this show is not! Tune into Radio Valencia regularly and you'll discover artists you never knew you would love. Seriously, this place is life-altering. Take a chance on us.

Enjoy.

A Season in Hell #132: Kalri$$ian Makes Me Feel Dirty

I don't think you're getting enough nasty in your life. Therefore, I believe it's up to me, John Hell, to bring more of the dirty into your far-too-clean existence. How to do this most effectively? Well that's an easy one, it's all about Kalri$$ian baby!

Kalri$$ian is back with a new full-length CD: Star Magic, and they're in the studio talking up the music, the hype, the nasty, and the CD release party at the Supper Club this Saturday night, April 27th. This is the PERFECT location to see this debaucherous crew in all their glory.

I'll post pictures on my Facebook page soon. They are so hot, that my pants literally melted off of me. I'm not joking. I was a puddle on the studio floor.

I want to thank Smooth Rick, Chachi, Kitty and Bernie for taking the time to come into the studio, turn me on, and leave me breathless.

It was Record Store Day last Saturday, and I got a few tasty treats. The second hour I play some of my new favorites as well as some live cuts to get your booty moving.

You know you have to dominate this show.
Or maybe you're the type to love 'em and leave 'em? Stream it here.

A couple of weeks ago, my dear friend Pepe Ozan passed away, after a short battle with an undetermined illness. Pepe was an amazing artist, who is well known to the Burning Man community for his annual Opera, which he co-wrote, and where were performed on playa-covered steel of his own creation. His work was like him: larger than life. He also fell in love with the people and the country of India, having spent a lot of time there, and filming a few films about his experiences and the colorful people. There was no containing Pepe, and he lived his life unapologetically.  He will be missed.
This is Pepe and myself on the Cyberbuss, during the first Artcar West Fest in 1997.

Here's a taste of one of his operas from 1996. This one features Justin Credible as Mistress Zoe.
