John Hell's Live Bootleg Bonanza - Monday, December 28, 2020 - 6-8PM - The Clash!!!

John Hell's Live Bootleg Bonanza
Monday 6-8PM Pacific

In celebration of the late, great Joe Strummer, I'm going to play this amazing show from The Clash, August 17, 1982, just a few months after the release of "Combat Rock". Drummer Topper Headon had been fired before this show, so it features Terry Chimes on drums. It's a lively show, with the band at their peak, but not for long. Mick Jones would leave within a year, and by then the band we knew to grow and love would be on their last legs. It's Joe Stummer who really drives the assault throughout this show, and his passing in 2002 left a gaping hole in the rock and punk genre, as well as the hearts of millions, myself included.

Following this 90 minute show I have a leftover Christmas treat from a band who really liked Christmas (or faked it for the sake of the label). You'll be sure to want to stick around for this.

Then my weekly music mix, Hell's Kitchen Radio, takes over 8-10pm tonight.

This is really just too much music for one person to enjoy. Share this link with your friends and I'll see you at 6pm Monday night, Pacific.

Enjoy.
